CD 31: Darrell Durnsworth.

First off, congratulations go out to Bleu. She won the last contest, and not just because she was the only one to submit!




Ok, so Willy is fairly busy right now, so I'm taking hold of these for the time being. I really liked VPComic's idea of the evolution of a creature, like, alot, but I didn't want my first CD to be someone else's idea.

Allright, so here's how this one is going to work:

Darrell Durnsworth has recently come home from an arduous trek. He has seen many lands, and many faces. Something he never did see though, was himself. He swore off mirrors before he left, and this morning whilst shaving, he glimpsed himself for the first time in many months.


What does he see? Is he impressed, horrified, amused? This challenge requires two drawings. One showing off clearly how Darrell looks, and one showing us his reaction to his appearance.

If it's not obvious... that thing with the squiggles is a hand-held mirror.

But maybe you could have rotated it a bit more in his hand so it was more clear that he was looking in it. At the same time you would have gotten rid of the close to tangent on his hair.

Fantastic work both of you, but I agree with Commie, Amanda, the mirror could definitely do to be rotated a little bit.
