Yes, it is time for another concept design challenge folks. This one comes to you from the mind of VPComics, sort of.
Here's how this will go:
First, you must create a monster or creature of some sort. Try to be as imaginative as possible and really push the boundaries of things the human mind can conceive. I want to see things that will rip the sanity right from my soul, guys! Or just make something weird and cute. Whatever you can think of.
Then, once you've got your creature draw him up and post him in a dynamic and exciting pose.
Then you need to create a little evolution or life cycle of your critter. 3 stages minimum, and no maximum, although I don't want to see 12 stages each with one line different than the last.
I'd prefer if these guys weren't humanoid or anthropomorphic, because this would double as a great way to explore the more primal and animal anatomies, but if you're simply stumped on this, more hominid entries will be accepted.
ALLRIGHT GET TO IT! :D
Due date is May 19th!

Cute. Hopefully I can get more than a black and white scribble in this time.
Due date pls Ryan?

Sounds like fun, I might try to jump in on this one...
Questions:
What do you mean by "evolution"? Just Youngin' to Old Fart or something different?
When is this one over again (one week or two)?
Oops, missed the last one again. I'll see what I can do this time!

First off. GODFLIPAJIHASLKJDF I was certain I wrote in the due date. CERTAIN I SAY!
Yes on the 19th is when it's due. I'll add that in.
Also, you can do an evolution from one species to your creature, or a youngin to old fart.
Life Cycle or evolution, don't matter, it's about trying to understand the progression of how limbs and features develop. The idea is to really get you thinking about what details are unnecessary on an animal, and what things you just draw for the sake of gratuitous polish.
Look at us, we use nearly everything on out body for one purpose or another. Except male nipples, haha, which are just leftovers from feminine development in early fetal stages. But try to apply that logic to your creature. Be it from a weak and unlikely to survive overburdened thing to a full and mighty creature, or just early stages of limbs in an infant creature to a developed adult.

Heh, I actually drew something recently along theese lines that I'd like to see if I can develop on. (It's actually an attempt to make a overtly complex and convoluted concept look like it has function and natural form)
Hell, I just like doing this off hand, so expect an entry from me. (and a bunch of posted pictures of things I could have entered)

yeah those look good so far.
Mine won't be as good as I wanted because I can't upload my sketches into the computer, but I love this idea so something will be submitted and afterward I will fix it up, and maybe even animate the evolution!

Cloud: the compound eye is genius. Love it!
Gooner: Nice mecha-antelope! The adult one looks kind of dangerous but the younger one is adorable. Must be the legs!
Here's a really quick boring scribble just so I can say I entered:

Here's my entry. I would apologize for it being in pretty much sketch form, but I'm horrible at giving disclaimers. Oh well, wanted to enter at least.

You probably killed him to take the leadership, too. Ooooh!! That's what happens when you're in a position of power. The alien story: misdirection!! What's the world coming to? Ha ha ha ha.
