hey! this is something that I did last year... during production, and during my teaching job :D I just can't ever get enough stuff going on at the same time!
It took me 3 months to do everything... masking in AE, and everything else in Flash 4. Before doing this, I had never cleaned up an entire project, but doing it tought me alot. The same with the lighting and shadows, I had never done any of it. So overall, a great experience.
I hope you like!

Hahaha... I think I saw this over CgTalk, and it's good watch this again !
you've done a great job (conceder I've never watched the original movie).
The Animation is very smooth, the act is awsome, and I wouldn't change a thing... I love it !
I still wish I could get the awsome outlines you get.... I guess the PC version of Flash won't let me do it... ehhh... back to the Annoying Pencil tool.
I would love to see more stuff like in your site, maybe new/old stuff of yours.
Keep up the good working !

i really liked the lip syncing u did, good job. it had a comical feel but in a serious situation.
o yea i like ur avatar :D
Jeez man. That's some incredible character animation. I checked out the rest of the stuff on your site too. It's amazin'. You scared me for a bit. I had the idea that you were a student or something for some reason. I think I have a new favorite animator on the internet now.

i have a question on how u do that. do u seperate the sound file and import it also into flash. and wut frame rate do u doit at? i tried experimenting with a quicktime movie in flash trying to add over it but the swf played it back uneven. just some advice i guess if ud like a new student :D

I actually screwed up with the frame rate! i think the video was something like 25 fps and i imported it at 24.. which makes the audio track slide a little...( check out the end, it's totally off)
but yea, i brought in the video, in chunks, in flash 4, the sound too, and i rendered them all out as quictime files, and put them together, in Quicktime, and rendered it all out, as an mp4. i had 3 files... if i had put the whole thing in one file, the whole 2 minutes, flash crashed all the time.
thanks for the interest!
oh, -nelson-, i like your rough stuff. it's full of life, and its fun!
peace!
