I like both 2d and 3d animation fine, but I feel that both lack the 'real' sense that comes with stop motion animation-as in with stop mo (like Wallace and Grommit, or Nightmare before Christmas), you know what you're watching exists.
Anyways, my interest has led me to try the medium and I've been at it for a few years now, here are some of my short films:

Right now I'm doing a demo reel for 2D animation. Once it's done I plan on doing some stop motion as well. Got the camera and armatures, just need to make some puppet skins.

Mozen, you're a genius!

I particularly like the 2 slugs.
What is your stop motion software of choice? I am looking into purchasing iStopmotion for myself as a flight of fancy - I wonder if you have any advice for the aspiring stopmotion animator (or indeed any form of animation)
Thanks

Huh, I never really thought of them as slugs before, but hey!
I use Adobe Premier version 6.5. It's the version I'm most comfortable with cuz I've been using it forever, but it's not designed for stop mo so sometimes that can take a long time.
As for stop mo specific software, I really couldn't help you, sorry

As for advice? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well I kinda just started animating, so I guess my advice is to start animating and I sucked, then I animated often and got better. So there is my advice :P animate and experiment lots, for me it's the hands on experience that I learn from.
But thanks for checking out my animations!

:D Mozen good **** mate. good **** indeed. Did you have a spesific inspiration for any of these or did you just kick it from randomness??? Either way you can consider me your newest fan. I'm currently working on my first stop mo    hope I'm not in over my head with this one. Be sure and post up anything new you come up with.

hey thanks,
if you're looking for new animatons, just check out my website: www.terryibele.com

most of my animations are just randomness, thought up and made within an hour, but currently i am working on a short film that has taken a lot of planning
