Ok I'm (will be)working my first short animated film,my friend and I are working on the script (The secretof nada)and need some advice. I'm new to animation and don't have any training in animation, I have been reading books about animation and studyed animated films own my own. Anyway I want to make a 5 min short. :Xead: I already brought tons of paper lol. :Blahblahb

Is a 5 min animated (24fps= 7200 frames :Xead: ) too overwhelming for a beginner? :o

yes in my opinion. i would just practice everything in those books u had first before trying to tackle 5 minutes(which is actually pretty long btw)

NOOB!

hell yes its overwhelming

one ur working by yourself
two ur a begginer
three your doin it traditionally

it would take a group 5 people about 3-4months to make a 5 min short.so just imagine you alone.

It takes even a flash animator like adam phillips a year to make his shorts.Cos u will get bored and take month breaks.

but like everything, theres no harm in trying,i'm making a five minute short too,but i started back in september, and i like have no choice cos its for my final *due in may* so i got quite a bit of time.

Yeah I'm willing to try it. Even if it kills me. :Xead: In the end it will be worth it, I hope. I can be pretty stubborn it times. Plus I have a lot of free time on my hands too. :)

You can always start with a one minute trailer just to see it all works out. 5 mins is a huge commitment just to start.
