Nelson- Yes I live in Burbank, but no I've never taken any classes with charles or the animation acadamy. I've taken Life drawing classes at Pasadena Art Center on weekends and I took private art classes when I was 8 years old. That's about it

Yeah! Are u animating these on 24fps or 30fps. Hmmm i would imagine it's 24 but i could be wrong.

What's the process that u guys go about doing these? Do u do all ur animting on paper first, scan them in and then ink and paint in flash?? Or is it all digital and all done in either flash or some vector program. Also how long or what is the avarage time it takes u to krank these out?? :confused: :Blahblahb

hey guys, ya I do these shorts on 24fps. I try to put a new short out each month. I would have them out sooner but work gets in the way. I just wish I didn't need to work so I can devote more time to these flashtoons. One day hopefully.

about the process ....I animated all the shorts in flash with a wacom and paint brush tool. For Liar part 2 im going all out and keying my animation on paper, then doing a trace bitmap on it and inbetweening in flash.

ya I agree....right now im stuck using a home digital video camera. Some people in the industry suggested that I do that because its the best (cheap) way of doing it, but we are saving some money to hopefully buy a nice mic. Im also converting my garage into a studio so Ill have a better setup for auido recording.

Holy crap pants, i love it, i can't wait to see the rest. Great lip movements, nice line quality, smooth as butter moves, top friggin' notch. Oh, and the dragon heads were rad too! I love seeing more tradition work done through flash, something i see less of all the time. I trying to think of what to say, but it was all really solid man, dang man, i feel like a lazy bastard after seeing that, i gotta get to work. How long/how many people worked on that, just curious... keep rockin' out the sweet animation, we'll all be watching!

I did everything you see in the short. What sucks now is that our site was hacked and is now offline....hopefully its not to bad and we can get it back up.

ah, very nice to have you here man! I love the animation in Sweet Mother of vartan since i saw it a while back! Sucks that your site was hacked :/. I'm kinda curious though, do you think your animations have a racist undertone? As an outside observer i have to say it was kind of difficult not to get that impression from them. But i'm curious to know what you think.

Also it has to be said i don't think i've ever seen a flash animation with such a good finish.

there really is no flashtoon team....its me...and yes Im armenian....the cartoons I make are not making fun of armenians, and to this day I haven't met an armenian who was offended by them. In fact, these characters are loved by a lot of people (armenian or not).....I think this is more an act of jealousy or just someone who has no sense of humor at all. But Ill be back up bigger and better no problem.....they just gave me an excuse to grow :)
