Does anyone know if you can import work from Toon Boom Studio into Digital Pro and have it operate in the same manner?

Say for example I want to pan some elements and the camera across screen?

Hope you can help.

In short, NO :(

I just tested it making something in Toon Boom Studio and saved the project. Then I went into Digital Pro PLE, and looked for importing the TBS project. The only thing that I could find was "Import>SWF, Illustrator to Local Library..." Tried that, and nothing happened.

There seems to be quite a number of differences between TBS and DP, which may be why it didn't work.

Yeah, a friend of mine discovered the same problem just recently. There goes that plan :(

I'm seriously considering investing in the educational version. Does anyone have that at all?

Are you talking about the Personal Learning Edition? I got that. You can download it for free at toonboom.com (http://www.toonboom.com/products/digitalpro/eLearning/ple.php)

Hey, thought I could give you a hand with this one. Any Artwork created in either software are not usable by the other even though they are both from Toon Boom. this is because studio is for home users while Digital Pro is Professional software. To cross-grade or share artwork between the two applications, you have to export your artwork as SWF files and import that file in the destination program. In studio, you can import the set directly into the timeline, but in Digital Pro, the swift must be imported into your template library and then added/ dragged onto the timeline. Hope that helps. you should be able to find the same into in the "cross-grade from Studio to Digital Pro" article on the Toon Boom website.
