globe effect

Hey! This is something I'd like to share I guess... It's an effect our fx guy did for the show... he's just crazy! It isn't something I did, but my drector said I could show you this stuff. Keep in mind that it was done in Flash 4 :D

Very interesting idea. Studying it now, I'm pretty sure I figured out how he made it, but if I hadn't seen it here I wouldn't think it was possible.

My theory revolves around masks, did Flash 4 have masks?

Yup. Masks and layers and symbols... It's all it comes down to for sfx. :D Pretty neat though eh?

seems it can be achieved quite simply,but as terro sed i never wudda thought of that.

as for flash 4...... :mad:

i like the way the illusion is created ,like the countries are goin around the globe,when actually they are just tweened symbols masked.

invite ur friend here when u have time jaki,he can talk effects with us.u and ur team seem/are very professional.
