Testing around in Photoshop

I just loaded CS2 on my PC, and was messing around. And decided to make something to go with my sig... He, it's not all that great, but i need to warm up to PC art again, cuz I've been papering it for months without using my mouse at all. (Me no havey tablet :( )

Anyway, here she is.

Well, techinically i have a tablet. But it's a piece of ****, and my mouse is more useful than it. I'm more looking into actually gettin a Graphire.

Oh, and on a side note, could anyone reccomend a good scanner?

no :D ,i haven't used my scanner in a good 6 months,mainly cos my **** is too big to scan so i just take a high quality photograph of it.

Alrighty then, Nubian. I'll look into making the investment. The only issue is I'm a poor little bugger who is also a cheapskate and doesn't like to pay alot of money for thing. But I'll shop around and check everything out. Idealy I'd like to get myself one thats like 16x12 or something like that, but damn, ain't ever gunna be that wealthy.

So if there are any places you can reccomend to shop at that has lower prices I could investigate. But I live in Germany, so more western chains, like in England or North America arn't going to be an option :(.

Hey MRat u should try ebay i know that used grahires go really cheap there. Also for scanners try to get one that has a program that will stay up when scanning and save ur markings. That is so when u do an animation on paper all u have to do is tape a peg bar to it and mark ur area to scan and viola. instint alignment. Scanners r so cheap now adays that u can get one for around 50 bucks or so. Again u can always check out ebay and see what deals u can get on a used one.

Now regarding the bar of soap u use to draw. U can do it with that too. My boss draws with a bar of soap and man he can get some nice effects with it. I personally could never see myself draw like that tho. It would be too frustrating for me.
