Good day all.

Remember me?

Haven't been here in a good while but after seeing this latest challenge (and a certain amount of cajoling and goading from Imagooner) I decided to re-emerge and try and get back into the swing of things...

*swings*


His name is Barry.
He's quite arrogant and never one to back down from a challenge or, say, a foolish drunken bet. For instance: a few weeks ago, him and his mates were in the pub rawkously exclaiming at the commonwealth diving on TV saying such things as "ere! It's just as easy as fallin' offa plank innit!" Barry, in an alcohol infused stupor, began declaring "Yeah like, I can fall offa plank wit moar style than 'at!" By the end of that fatefully heady drunken night, Barry was somehow enlisted to represent his country in the high-dive event at the next Olympics. He has never attempted a dive before in his life...

Nice to see you about again Hats. Mind I have been keeping tabs on your cute little Dreamleak comic (and the journal/blog too).

Barry is awesome. I can't wait to see him moving!

Thought I'd better post something to prove this thing hasn't died yet...

What that is, is a frighteningly fast montage of all the storyboarding and scene planning I sketched out a while back. I know it's only supposed to be 10 seconds but dammit if I can't help getting all cinematic and pretentious!

I think I'll be submitting a 10 second(ish) animation which has been severely cut down and then, if i have time, the 'DIRECTORS CUT!'

Just a quick comp test to get a feel for Toon Boom again. It seems that 24-bit .PNGs work pretty well now. It's strange because they never used to before :confused:

yeah thats pretty good whip you got overthere:) nice eff. i see u know how to use camera,, or u made it in another way ? :) ... well anyway nice :) cant wait to see when ure done btw, do you mind if i ask you wich toon boom you used ? ( ive got some software issues :( )

Awesome work so far. :) Barry's back-story is hilariously creative, and your sketches support the personality I pictured perfectly. It will be great fun to see more of him in action. Great camera incorporation as well. Not to mention your posts were an enjoyable read. :D
