Edit: Well I have finally finished! Here's my final animation with a description of it following.

This is my first completed 2D animation. Everything I have worked on in the past have just been rough scribbles. There are a couple of things I want to point out because I'm pretty sure they won't be noticed! I love the look of animation done on cels rather than digitally, so have attempted to give this that look. Although it was drawn on a tablet and has never been near a sheet of paper, I have given it a grain to give a more filmic look. I have also added a very slight drop shadow under the floursack as I have noticed that in cartoons made using cels, you can often see that the character is laid on top of the background. So although noone would really notice those things, I just thought I'd point them out as I quite liked them.
You can see a larger version of the animation on my portfolio site (http://www.andysanimation.co.uk/Pages/HammerThrow.html).
Original first post:
Only just started working on this, although I've been thinking about it for a while. My event will be the hammer throw. I have an idea that I think will be quite funny, but I won't reveal it yet.
In the meantime, here is my first few sack drawings. I'm a bit rubbish at drawing them (probably why I've tried to cover them up with colour!), so just getting a bit of practice drawing them is necessary. You can see a larger version on my blog (http://andysanimation.blogspot.com/2008/07/faster-stronger-higher-flourier.html).

I haven't come up with any form of uniform yet.
