Maya 8.5 NCloth

Is anyone here familiar with Ncloth? It's the first time I'm using it and it's posing some problems when it comes to correct settings.

I'm able to make subtle motions work but when a limb goes a bit too far it penetrates through the cloth.

I think you have to mess with the constraints of the cloth. Click on it, and go to the properties on the right side of the screen and play with it there.

Yeah, I spent around 6 hours trying out different combinations on both the cloth and the passive object, but still can't get it to work right.
