Got it and love the hell out of it. Christian Bale is my secret Brokeback lover, and his Howl characterisation made me... need some tissues...
On a side note, any of you get out to see Curious George yet? So brilliantly animated, it made me cry. I grew up entirely on hte G-Man, his my hero and I love Will Ferrell, so him as The Man in The Yellow Hat was cool, especially since he wasn't a "pollitcally incorrect warning" retard.

I enjoyed it but it was least favorite out of his collection. The story was a littlebit too wild and at times predictable.

like i said a long time ago, artisically it was good, but story wise it was exactly the same as spirited away, where sum girl falls in love with some guy that can turn himself into some flying thing :p

phahaha yeah I've heard so many ppl say that. I'm willing to admit that it was vaguely, somewhat, seemingly, relatively similar to spirited away in but the fuzziest of ways.
Still needa get this on DVD...

Got the DVD a couple of days ago. Technically, the animation is superb, but the screenplay looks like it was devised by a glue-sniffing derelict, and it's populated by characters you don't care about...and what is it with the girl growing older and younger all the time? I couldn't wait for it to end -- and not in a good way.

Okay - I finally got to see it and enjoyed it. I actually liked it more than Spriited Away. The characters were interesting and funny. The animation was top notch and the designs were soft on the eyes, very nice to look at.The story was on it's way to becoming another weird one but I think the team that translated it made the story work better. They could have elaborated on the war a bit more tho.
Of course I had a slightly damaged copy from Blockbuster after waiting like forever for it to be available....ahhh...curses...
Two thumbs up for me...I may buy it and add it to my collection.

Meh, i liked Howl's Moving castle, but i don't think its as good as everyone was making it out to be.
I personally think Spirited Away was much better.

Saw it a couple of days ago, MAN it's good! Everything. The design of the dog was a bit... weird tho'.
Anyone read the book?

Just a question to all those hating on the plots of Hayao's. You are watching the subtitled versions and not the English Dubbed versions, right? The stories get so butchered when his movies are dubbed. Spirited Away and Mononoke suffered that fate and I'm gonna hope this one doesn't but then again probably still the same. Gotta make those mouths look like they're saying stuff ...i guess...

Animes always suck when they are introduced to The Bush Empire(U.S.A.).

Very Pretty atleast. :) I haven't watched it yet. Love the idea of a moving castle still.
which brings me to my next point. Who wants to donate to the Build Willy a Castle Fund? Anyone? hmm? How about?
