Hey there!

Would you like to be a part of documentary filmmaking history?

Do you dream of hitting it big time doing what you love?

Looking for INSPIRATION?

Join us in the journey of a lifetime - as 2 independent filmmakers create a socially important documentary, entitled "INSPIRED: The Movie"

Project Description:
-------------------

Never before has a film embarked upon such an ambitious goal - to inspire each viewer to look at their own lives, to revive childhood dreams at any age, and to aspire to greatness. INSPIRED: The Movie, is a feature-length documentary which follows 12 individuals as they stop going through the motions of living, and make the decision to take control over their own lives.

When is the last time a movie has changed the course of your life?

INSPIRED addresses human inspiration at its core, as each documentary subject struggles with mild to severe obesity, and how body image affects every aspect of their lives.

Why does the Atkins diet work? Is it healthy? What goes on behind closed doors at popular weight loss centers, and do weight loss doctors really know what they are talking about? Are the before and after photos used for diet pills and exercise machines real? INSPIRED looks for the answers we have been asking for decades.

A documentary about all of us. Find inspiration, lose the guilt, and learn how
each and every one of us can take control over our bodies - and change our
lives forever. As we learn about each documentary subject's own challenges,
we can begin to discover the path that makes the most sense for each of us.
Are the excuses valid? Perhaps. But INSPIRED looks beyond the excuses to find the truth behind what drives us to seek greatness, and what it takes to get there.

What you may discover in the end, is that taking control of our bodies may only be the first step to taking control of our lives, and believing in ourselves
that anything in life is attainable. Conquering our most private battles may
just unlock the door to the self-confidence we all need to accomplish any goal
in life, to follow our dreams.

Join us on a journey of a lifetime. You may just find yourself, INSPIRED.

Animation requirements:
----
Animations are intended for theatrical release - experience producing animations for film preferred but not required.

Ability to create animated cariacatures of documentary subjects, creating short animated segments that may illustrate a topic the subject is describing (for example, being harassed for being on a diet at work)

Ability to create new characters with strong traits and personality. Interested in creating a series of characters that facilitate education for both adults and children regarding nutrition -- for example, a character that represents a "carb" or a "fat" - each with a personality that helps the viewer grasp more complex nutritional topics (simple carb vs complex, good fat vs bad fat)

Strong creative mind with the ability to take a set of requirements and turn them into fully developed characters.

A desire to change the world. Extreme passion and enthusiasm for what we trying to accomplish.

Looking to create 5-10 30 second animated shorts, ranging from small skits (a la Simpsons/Tracey Ulman show), to medical diagrams (simplified).

We are currently operating under a very limited budget, so terms of compensation to be discussed and will likely involve equity and/or future pay arrangements.

Timeline: Completed film by end of 2006, prep for entry into Sundance FF in August 2007.

If interested, please email me at steveyu@inspiredthemovie.com.

Thanks!
Steve

Hey guys -- thanks for the replies...

I haven't had time to update our site with clips from the film yet - but will do this very shortly - so if you've been trying to get past the splash page...sorry, you won't get very far! :)

I've gotten some responses via email so far, and I haven't yet had much time to respond to everyone, but I will take a look at the galleries -- thanks Cartoonman - I will take a look!

I'm not one to over-hype what we are doing, but there have been some who have turned down the opportunity because it didn't immediately pay them, which is understandable!

However, if you have a passion for animation, and would like to see your passion turn into a project that might change people's lives in a positive way, you will not lose. This is a unique opportunity to do something that actually has a BIG impact on people. No joke!

...and who knows, you might just get the fame and fortune we all seek (ok, maybe not all of us).
