Hi all,
My name's John Oakley; I've been lurking here for a few days, so I thought it was time to "go legit" and join in. Looks like a really interesting board. I've been interested in animation for a long time; got a few software packages that I flit between like a moth to candle flames (Flash, Toon Boom, Moho -- and, recently, TweenMaker), but sometimes I just like to draw using plain old pencil and paper.
Went to art school (a long time ago), had jobs in education until I got bored with them, and for the last twenty years or so have worked as a multimedia contractor. You name it, I've probably done it.
Did I mention I love animation? That's why I'm here -- when I feel qualified to make a comment, I'll join in.

Thanks guys! I can bask in my geezerdom! Ha ha! I liked the "lead in the pencil" thing...I'm attaching a little zipped swf test file I did a while ago -- run the cursor over it to see what it does (should be fairly obvious...)

Very cool monkey John. You know you can use attach swf files directly, they don't have to be zipped.

Wow, thamks everybod -- I looked at the "valid file extensions" list, and swf format wasn't on it...I'll know next time! So here is a running clown as a test...
(2 minutes later) Well, that didn't work -- system told me swf was an invalid file type; so here's another zip for y'all:

You right John, I must have forgot to update the list after our last upgrade. SWF is now in there although, I have not tested it yet.

PS: Clowns Scare MeHa ha -- yes, there's a lot of ambivalence about clowns..let me try uploading the swf again...
EDIT: I can upload it, but I can't see it...
