This is a feature length film that me and a few other artist have been developing.

We are in the very early stage of pre-production. We've got two rough designs of the two main characters and we're working on making the final image of them. I'll be posting updates on the production of this as we begin to animate.

The first one was traced in pen because...I don't know why. The animator didn't trust his scanner to pick up all the lines I guess.

CORIN: The main character of the film. This photo was by one of my animators.

This photo was by me. It is Heather, Corin's true love.

THE STORY:

Corin was just a boy. His father had died when he was a baby and now it was just he and his mother.
On the way home from karate (spell?) practice Corin and his mom get in a wreck. Corin's mom died instantly and Corin was fading quickly.
Robotech Industries, a military advancement program, hears about Corin. They send in their best doctors to rebuild him.

For all of Corin's teenage life he was forced to train in Robotech's "boot camp." He hated it. Everyone told him that he was nothing more than a tool. A military advancement that would soon be rusted and trashed.

Finally, Corin had had enough and escaped from the camp and lived wherever he could find.

Robotech Industries is searching for him and Corin is running from them. At the age of twenty-five, Corin takes what little bit of money he had been able to make and buys a train ticket away from his home.

Corin feels as if he IS nothing more than a tool. A robot. Worthless. And in his new home, he has to hide so no one sees him and so Robotech Industries leader, General Zavier, won’t find him.

After a while of living in the town, he meets a girl. Scared, he hides from her. But she won't stop trying to find him. After days of hiding, he finally gets the courage to show what he really is to her. At first, she is scared, but after a while, she knows that she still loves him. And he loves her.

Finally, after all he'd been through, everything seems like it'll be okay. Until one day, Heather (the girl) starts acting strange and encourages him to go back to the camp and fight for Robotech Industries. Corin is confused.

A few days’ pass and then suddenly...General Zavier finds him. Heather had been working for Zavier the whole time...she was a Robot!

Corin is taken back to the camp and locked in a prison cell. There, he discovers that the real Heather, the one he had fallen in love with, was also locked in a prison cell.

Determined to get out and save Heather, Corin uses his enhanced strength to get out and to set her free. After she is safe, Corin runs into a trap of Robot-soldiers and General Zavier. After an action packed battle, Corin destroys all of the soldiers and kills General Zavier and marries Heather, his true love. Everything is all right now. Or is it?

Back at Robotech Industries, General Zavier somehow survived being thrown into a boiling liquid and rebuilds himself into an all-powerful Robot and begins to seek Corin...to kill him.

But Corin doesn't know this and won't until we starts figuring out the plot for the sequel to this film...ha ha.

hmmm...my first thing to say,get yourself out of the anime phase and start studying from life, too many new comers just get into anime, ignore comments like mine, and then 4 years later go back and study from life anyway.

what i'm getting at is,the faces aren't all in proportion and when the drawing skill lacks,so does the animation.I hope i'm not coming across too harshly but thats the reality.

I hope we can help you improve a great deal.;) please keep posting,i'll try my best to give you some good crits

or you can just run away and think i'm an asshole, but thats understandable, same thing i did when someone gave me that advice.I hope u stick around.

I have to agree with Noob here. I'm currently studying life drawing myself and can vouch that it's probably the most important study you will do. It will teach you first hand ,the relationship and spacing of human body parts at differetn angles. Then when you go back to anime , you will kick all forms of ass. :)

We're planing on starting a life drawing workshop in the near future. I hope everyone here participates.

Thanks everyone for the advice. We're trying our best to learn all of this stuff. But the two pictures above were the first and sketches we'd ever done of those characters, and I was hunched over a chair holding it up while talking on the phone...I don't advise you to do this when trying to draw a good picture. ha ha.
