G'day my fellow animators. :D

Just found this place (again) and i look forward to pushing my skills with your help,
and hopefully teach you guys a thing or two while i'm at it.

I've been doing animation as a hobby for about 2 years now and my speciality is applying 2d vector shape tweening to traditional character animation and mixing those characters with 3d environments. Also on the side i've got experience with 6 different programming languages and approaching 5 years using linux.

I'm helping out at ConceptArt.org (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/) and running an animation challenge there which unfortunately i ended up with only a few people but that allows me to go and help them out with their entries individually.

Unfortunately my host took my old site out with it, and with my new job at a local multimedia production company, school and what else, i haven't had the time to encode my works and upload them. But i will post my work from this challenge for your critiquing pleasure.

Also if i got the time i'll also give this months motion challenge a go, although i am sure any of you could kick my ass at traditional animation any day, digital is my domain. :)

My weakness lies in character design and life drawing, hopefully i'll be attending an art school next week to help out in those departments.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Welcome back SciBoy,

Looking forward to your help and also animation. If you ever get a chance, vist my gallery and give me some pointers on my art and maybe when ever I get my lil flash thing done you can critique that too. Oh you have to visit "I'm Calling you out Vic!" thread in the art gallery. give us your honest opinion on it and maybe get involved?:rolleyes:hahahahahah Also Terro, is thinking about creating a Life drawing thread. Wow You came back just in time huh? And if ever you need advice or a suggestion I or anyone here are here to help:)

anyway, again, welcome back!

Welcome Sciboy. Action script is a monster to me but am open to learning it. I hope you have fun here and that you share your works with us. Something tells me you'll be doing more teaching than learning.;)

No more school! WAAHHOOOOOO!!11one
Anyway, so finally i have enough time to actually do some more animation and get my site online, happy days. :D

Although i unfortunately have to wait till next year before i can get into Julian Ashton (http://www.julianashtonartschool.com.au/), thanks to some child protection law changes they can no longer allow students under 18. :Blahblahb

I've entered the Logo challenge and look forward to kicking your asses, since there is a 10 second limit, i've decided to do some complete and utter overkill to test out my production pipeline, HDTV (1080p60) anyone?

Speaking of which my preordered Project Orange (http://orange.blender.org) DVD is in the mail and i'm completely psyched to see it in HD quality, you who haven't ordered it though can look forward to the downloadable version on Monday.

That's all, meanwhile i need to check up on the Wiki (http://www.conceptart.org/wiki) at ConceptArt.org (http://www.conceptart.org/forums) because before they were using backups every bloody day and taking out contributions with it...

Later guys. ;)

[edit]
I hope none of you take offense to the "kicking your asses" statement, down at CA, we usually have compulsory trash-talk during challenges and i forgot you guys haven't become accustomed to it never being serious. :p

To tell the truth, I'm pretty sure Noob is right, i was just keeping the actual wording, in case soemthings wrong, so that my ass is covered.

I just got matched up with MIKECORRIERO and Marko Djurdjevic in Last Man Standing 2 (http://lastmanstanding.codytilson.com/).
So i'm dropping the logo challenge... Wish me luck, i'm going to need it.
