I think it's absolutely beautiful. I really loved the first series and this second one is looking just as good.

The only bummer is knowing that everyone I loved from the first one is dead(or really, really old).

I really want a Polar Bear Dog.

Still trying to make up my mind about this.

I was all excited by the trailers, but now that I've watched the first two episodes I have mixed feelings and no particular attachment or intrigue with any of the characters yet. Korra's personality isn't very endearing and other characters feel like they're being repeated (Mako/Zuko and Bolin/Sokka anyone?)

The generic anime expressions annoy me (Tenzin's two youngest kids REALLY annoy me), but I do enjoy the concept of pro-bending. Am I expecting too much? Here's hoping it grows on me though, because I was a big fan of the previous show!

You should try the Nickelodeon on your side, maybe the UK site has it.
Korra is the next Avatar and they have one surveying member from the old group.

I want to know what happened to Toph and Sokka. Did they just pass after old age? They would have been cool to see as old people.

The only people we know are dead, are Sokka and Aang. It will come out in later episodes weather any of the others are still alive.

I have a feeling that Toph is still alive.

I felt that this series is a lot more "western" than the previous version. In the original you had characters in very Chinese, Korean or Japanese style costumes and settings, often voiced by famous, at one time or another, Chinese, Japanese or Filipino actors. This time around it seems many more characters are much more european in appearance, with lots of western style facial hair, and voiced by euro-centric actors.

I think they are trying to reflect the industrial boom with the homogenous effect of everyone living in one location.
