Ideas for the future

Morning Crew

I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting AF in our first month. We're really close to hitting the 100 member mark which is very good progress concidering we haven't been opened a full month yet.

I wanted to bring you guys up to speed on the site changes that are planned for the near future as wel as some ideas that we have not finalized yet.

Here are some definite things that you can look forward too.

We are close to completing our main page to go side by side with the forum. The launch of the main page is still pending because of minor tweaks that we want to address. Once we have everything stabilized we'll let you guys go to work on it. The site will integrade with the forum so you'l be able to make comments on articles with your forum ID as well as Log In/Out + Check your Private Messages from the main site. As we grow larger we will also slowely start opening moderating positions. These will be offerend to community contributing members choosen by the current moderator/administrator staff.

We are also implementing a reward system for members who's hard work deserves recognition. The reward will consist of a second Avatar below your regular avatar. Different rewards will be given for Finished Animations and Challenges.

Also , as you've noticed we've added a ad campaign to the top left of our forum. AF is a free community and will always stay that way. We will generate revenue from the sponsors in our ads. So, if you decide to purchase from our sponsors above, plese use our link so that we can get a small comission from your purchase.

We are also thinking about starting a small challenge reward fund in the near future. It's going to be a while before we pick up real sponsors so we're throwing around the idea of opening a small account where members can donate a dollar or so to be used as prizes for a future challenges. This is not definite , it's just an idea for now. We would need much more members to make this a reality. But it would be nice if you guys had a chance to win free software like Mirage or Flash.

Anyways , these are just a few things to look forward to in the future of AnimationForum.

sound good, this forum is really starting to take a shape with serious members that want to learn, i hope this forum will grow well and from what it been so far i'll sure be here too.
